Residents of village Bhulan, Halka Lehra, had long been facing difficulties at the local cremation ground due to the absence of a shed. Families were forced to wait for hours, often in harsh weather conditions, including heavy rains, before performing last rites of their loved ones.

After coming across this issue through media reports, Durlabh Sidhu personally visited the site to assess the situation. Deeply moved by the hardships faced by the villagers, he assured them of immediate action. Without delay, his team actively worked for the past 10–15 days, and today a fully constructed shed has been successfully installed and handed over to the people of village Bhulan. This will ensure that families can perform last rites with dignity and without unnecessary distress caused by the weather.

At the same time, Durlabh Sidhu strongly raised concern over the long-pending drinking water issue in Bhulan. He reminded that he had flagged this matter to the government six months ago, yet no action has been taken so far. “The reality is painful – villagers do not have clean water to live, and until recently, they did not even have a shed to die peacefully,” he said.

Durlabh Sidhu urged the government to immediately resolve the drinking water crisis in Bhulan and reaffirmed his commitment to continue addressing the real issues of people at the grassroots level.
