Russian girl arrested from Jalandhar’s posh housing society

The crime investigation agency (CIA) of Jalandhar police arrested a Russian girl after raided a posh society – Jalandhar Heights located on 66 feet road here.

The Russian girl was living there as a paying guest in the flat. Police said that her visa expired in 2017 and she has been living here illegally with forged documents.

According to the information, Ashok Kumar, in-charge of the CIA staff had received information that a Russian girl was living in a flat of Jalandhar Heights Society and she is suspected to be involved in illegal activities.

On receiving the information, CIA in-charge Ashok Kumar, along with his team raided her flat. The police nabbed her from the spot. In this regard, CIA in-charge Ashok Kumar said that the matter is currently being investigated.

Preliminary investigation of the police revealed that the girl had come to India a few years ago. His visa expired in 2017. She used to live in Delhi. Despite the expiry of the visa, he did not return nor did he inform the police or the embassy. After Delhi, she came to Punjab.
