Row over Partap Bajwa’s ‘material’ remark: AAP Dalit leaders demand apology from LoP

Chandigarh, June 6

A row has erupted over Senior Congress and leader of Opposition leader Partap Singh Bajwa’s ‘material’ remark which he allegedly made during Opposition leaders meeting in Jalandhar last week against a few AAP leaders.

Led by Punjab finance minister Harpal Singh Cheema, the Dalit leaders from AAP Punjab held a press conference today.

The AAP leaders termed the statement made by Partap Singh Bajwa as an ‘anti-Dalit’ remark and asked the latter to apologize within a week.

“Bajwa has haterd for poor people in his mind. If the leader of the opposition Partap Singh Bajwa fails to apologies within a week, strict action will be taken against him,” told Harpal Singh Cheema.
