In the light of prevailing flood situation in Punjab, all government, aided, recognised and private schools in the state will remain closed till September 3, 2025, informed S. Harjot Singh Bains, Minister of School Education, Punjab.
He said that this decision has been taken following the directions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to prioritise student safety and well-being during this challenging time.
The Education Minister stated that the state government is taking all necessary measures to mitigate the flood’s impact and ensure public well-being. He also urged parents to prioritise their children’s safety and security during this tough period and cooperate with the administration by following instructions. Meanwhile, he exhorted teachers to maintain close contact with the district administration to provide support to the community in need.
