Valtoha Incident: Accused Killed in Police Encounter; Gangsterism Will Not Be Tolerated in Punjab, Says Pannu
CHANDIGARH, January 6:
Reacting to the death of the key accused in the Valtoha Sarpanch murder case during a police encounter today, Punjab’s General Secretary of Aam Aadmi Party and Media Incharge Baltej Pannu stated that the law and order machinery in Punjab is fully secure and in capable hands, and the Punjab Police is performing its duty commendably.
The main accused in the Valtoha Sarpanch murder case was killed today during an exchange of fire between the Punjab Police and the accused near Tarn Taran.
Commenting on the development, Baltej Pannu asserted that Punjab’s law and order is secure. He made it clear that any individual, no matter how powerful, will face strict police action if they try to take the law into their own hands. The Punjab Police will perform its duty effectively.
Commending the Punjab Police for its action, Baltej Pannu said the Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann led Punjab government is fully committed to taking strict action against criminals.
