Punjab to get new tehsil complexes/sub-tehsil complexes in many districts soon. Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has released Rs. 158 crore for the construction and upgradation of new tehsils/sub tehsils in the state.
Divulging the details, Revenue Minister Bram Shanker Jimpa said that for the convenience of the common people and to streamline the work of the Revenue Department, the state government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has taken the initiative for the ultra-modern construction of several tehsil/sub-tehsil offices.
Jimpa said that earlier an amount of Rs. 100 crore was approved, but after increasing the budget of some districts, Rs. 158 crore has been released so far. This amount is likely to increase further.
