Punjab Govt cancels leaves of Excise officials as tension rise

Chandigarh, May 10

Amid rising tensions, the Bhagwant Mann-led Punjab government has issued strict instructions to the Excise and Taxation Department.

The government has ordered that no officer will be allowed to take leave until further notice. All previously approved leaves have been cancelled with immediate effect.

The directive has been issued to ensure the department’s full preparedness and presence during this critical period.
