Punjab Governor makes big statement on farmers’ protest and One Nation One Election

Gulab Chand Kataria, Governor of Punjab and Administrator of Chandigarh made a major statement on the ongoing farmers protest and One Nation, One Election on the occasion ofInternational Day of Older Persons was celebrated today at the Law Bhavan in Sector 37, Chandigarh.

During the event, Gulab Chand Kataria, the Governor of Punjab and Administrator of Chandigarh attended as the chief guest.

During his address, Gulab Chand Kataria spoke about the concept of “One Nation, One Election.”He mentioned that in the past, all elections were held simultaneously across the country.

He expressed his support for the idea of holding elections together, stating that “One Nation, One Election” would be beneficial for the country. He further pointed out that elections every six months lead to the imposition of the Model Code of Conduct, which halts development and increases expenses.

Regarding the farmers’ protests in Punjab, he said that protesting on the roads will not resolve the issues. He emphasized that the government is open to dialogue and urged farmers to engage in discussions with the government.

On the occasion of International Day of Older Persons, Gulab Chand Kataria announced that his administration would seek input from senior citizens to ensure that their views are considered, which would help in making work processes more convenient.
