The Punjab and High Court on Monday stayed the Mohali Court order and observation against DSP Gursher Singh Sandhu in an immigration fraud case.
Earlier this month, the Mohali Court termed the probe conducted by a Mohali police deputy superintendent of police (DSP) in two immigration fraud cases as “shoddy and botched up”. The court has directed the Punjab Director General of police (DGP) to get the inquiries done afresh.
In their plea, the victims accused DSP Gursher Singh Sandhu, posted as in-charge, the special branch, Mohali, of favoring the accused in the investigation of two immigration fraud cases and finally giving them a clean chit.
DSP Gursher Singh Sandhu then moved civil writ a petition against Mohali court’s order in Punjab and Haryana Court. The next hearing on the matter has been fixed for October 25.
