After many days of crop residue burning, brakes were put on such incidents on Tuesday when only 13 cases were reported in 24 hours, taking the count to 11,275.
As per Punjab remote sensing centre dashboard, against 13 burning cases on Tuesday in the ongoing harvesting season, there was 1 burning case on the same day in year 2021 and 20 in the year 2022. Out of 13, two cases each were reported in districts of Barnala, Malerkotla, Roopnagar, SBS Nagar and one each in Amritsar, Bathinda, Ferozepur, Gurdaspur and Tarn Taran
