Police freeze property made with illegal drug trade worth Rs.24.10 lacs in Ferozepur

In another case, under the Anti-Drug Drive by the police in Ferozepur has led to another freezing of property of residential house constructed through illegal means of the drug business, valuing Rs.24,10,000 after getting orders from the Competent Authority at Delhi of Daljit Singh alias Jeeta, who was booked in NDPS Act case during December 2022 on recovery of 500 gm heroin and the case is under trial in the court. A notice to this effect has been pasted outside the designated property.

Divulging with details, SSP Deepak Hillori said, that with the freezing of one more illegal property of drug smuggler Daljit Singh alias Jeeta, the value of Rs.24,10,000 has been frozen making the total value of such properties in Ferozepur to Rs.10,16,52,647 in 22 cases. He said, 8 drug smugglers’ cases for getting freezing orders of their property under the NDPS Act have been sent to the Competent Authority in New Delhi and 15 more such cases are in the pipeline and we are working on the same. He further said, now the owners of the properties cannot sell or transfer to anyone till further orders.
