Police conducts CASO in Ferozepur, bust bike theft gang

Ferozepur, February 27

Ferozepur police on Sunday conducted a Cordon and Search Operation – CASO, at various locations in the district aimed at deterring anti-social elements and instilling a sense of security and safety among the common public.

During the thorough search operation at suspicious places, by deploying 150 cops, under the tutelage of Kanwardeep Kaur, SSP by the teams headed by SP(I),DSP City and DSP Rural in Basti Bhattian Wali, Basti Aawa under Ferozepur City police station and at Basti Gwartoli, Basti Tankanwali under Ferozepur Cantt police station, a vehicle theft gang was busted being run by a kingpin Sanga, with recovery of ten motorcycles.

SSP informed that during the CASO campaign, one PO – Vicky, was also arrested in the case under police station Kulgarhi under Sections 399, 402, 379, 411 IPC. Besides, another fugitive accused – Mukthiar who was wanted at the same police station in the case under Sections 420 and 422 IPC. In another recovery of a small quantity of illicit liquor of 9 bottles, a case under Excise Act was also registered against Darampreet Singh of Basti Aaawa.
