Police arrest 3 drug smugglers including woman, 550 gm heroin recovered

Kapurthala police today arrested three drug smugglers including a woman and recovered 550 grams heroin , motorcycle and drug money of rupees 16000 from their possession from two different places in the district.
Senior Superintendent of police Vatsala Gupta told media persons that two brothers involved in the drug business were going towards Amritsar on a motorcycle were intercepted by police on Jalandhar-Amritsar National highway near village subhanpur and recovered 300 grams heroin and drug money of rs sixteen thousand from their possession.
Police arrested a woman smuggler in Kapurthala and recovered 250 grams heroin from her possession.
SSP said all the three smugglers were in the drug business for the past many years .two arrested brothers were already involved in the eleven cases under NDPS act and were evading arrests .
Police identified smugglers as Paramjit Singh and Jasbir Singh both residents of village Hamira near Kapurthala and Raj Kaur resident of Kapurthala and registered case under NDPS act against them .
