PAU’s Community Science College student bags best NSS Volunteer Award

Three NSS volunteers of the College of Community Science, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), were honoured at the Annual function of NSS, organized by the Director of Students’ Welfare under the theme “Balihari Kudrat Vaseha.”

Padma Shri Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal, Member of Parliament and famous environment protector, felicitated Mr Vipin Kulhari, a second year student of B.Sc. (Community Science), as the Best NSS Volunteer of the University for the year 2022-23.

He also received the Best Volunteer Award of the college. Two more students, Srishti Semwal, a second-year B.Sc. (Community Science), and Siya Kalia, a second-year B.Sc. (Nutrition and Dietetics), received awards of the best volunteers of the college. Dr. Satbir Singh Gosal, Vice-Chancellor, PAU, presided over the function.

Dr Kiranjot Sidhu, Dean, the College of Community Science, congratulated the students for their achievements and motivated them to develop a sense of social and civic responsibility. She further conferred that NSS helped the students to grow individually.

Dr Mandeep Sharma, Programme Officer, NSS, also encouraged the students for protecting the environment and live.
