PAU student bags Postdoctoctoral Research Associate Position in Canada

Diksha Singla, a recent doctorate from the Department of Biochemistry, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), has brought laurels to her alma mater by bagging the “Postdoctoral Research Associate Position” at Lethbridge College, Alberta.

At Lethbridge, she will be working on Post Harvest Technology under the guidance of Dr Chandra Singh, Senior Applied Research Chair, Centre for Applied Research, Lethbridge College, Canada.

Under the position, she will be receiving a $50,976 per annum salary apart from health, vision care, dental, life insurance, AD&D, a flexible spending account of $750 per annum, and relocation expenses to a maximum of $1500.

In her Ph.D. program, she worked on “Evaluation of Momordica spp. for bioactive components and antidiabetic potential” under the guidance of her Major Advisor Dr Manjeet Kaur Sangha, Principal Biochemist-cum-Head, Department of Biochemistry.

Dr Satbir Singh Gosal, Vice-Chancellor; Dr (Mrs) Pardeep Kumar Chhuneja, Dean, Postgraduate Studies; Dr Shammi Kapoor, Dean, College of Basic Sciences and Humanities; Dr. Manjeet Kaur Sangha, Head, Department of Biochemistry, congratulated the student and wished her all success in future endeavors.
