Murder of a farmer in Sultanpur Lodhi village

One farmer aged 55 years old was brutally murdered by another farmer due to alleged illicit relations in the fields at village Hussainpur Bule falling in Sultanpur Lodhi on Tuesday according to police.

Senior Superintendent of police Vatsala Gupta confirmed the incident .
In a press conference here today , SSP said police solved the blind murder within hours and arrested the accused farmer identified as Lakhbir Singh of same village.
Police said illicit relations with the wife of the accused is said to be reason behind the murder.
The deceased who was living alone in his house received a phone call and he went to the fields where he was murdered with sharp edged weapons said the police .
Police registered a case under section 302 IPC against the accused.
Police also claimed to have solved the mystery behind two more murder cases including murder of one travel agent of Kapurthala with the arrest of six accused .
