Mukatsar advocate Varinder Singh takes U-turn, District Bar Association recommends Termination of his license as lawyer

District Bar Association Muktsar on Thursday demanded that Advocate Varinder Singh Sandhu should be expelled from the Bar immediately as Varinder Singh took U-turn praising the same police officers and cops who were blamed for torturing him.He said he had no complaint agsnt them and the govt should absolve them of charges levelled by him and Bar.

A meeting of the General House of District Bar Association, Sri Muktsar Sahib was held on Thursday chaired by Advocate Bhupinder Singh Charewan regarding the application, which was submitted by Varinder Singh Sandhu.

It was discussed in the meeting that Varinder Singh had no grudge with the police officials, accused in FIR No. 145 Dated 25-09-2023 Under Section 377/342/323/149/506 IPC Police Station Sadar Sri Muktsar Sahib. All the members one after another strongly condemned the Act and conduct of Varinder Singh Sandhu and it have been adjudged as a betrayal to the entire legal fraternity. He has clearly misused the sentiments and the brotherhood of the lawyers.

After the meeting, a resolution was passed that Varinder Singh Sandhu should be expelled from the Bar immediately and a request should be sent to the Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana to terminate the license of Varinder Singh Sandhu forever and to take appropriate action.
