MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla visited Ward No. 4 and 5 in Ramdas village of the Ajnala Assembly constituency to review the severe situation caused by the recent floods. He interacted with the local residents and assured them that the government and administration stand with them during this difficult time. He stated that the floods have caused extensive damage in the area, with many homes already destroyed and several more at risk of collapsing.

MP Aujla emphasized that the most urgent need right now is to conduct a thorough survey of the affected areas and start the construction of new homes without delay. He urged the Punjab government to prioritize assistance for families whose houses have been completely destroyed and to ensure that help reaches them first.

He further added that relief efforts should be carried out in phases to ensure that every needy family gets the support they require. After helping the most severely affected, other families should also be assisted so that no one is left without aid.

MP Aujla pointed out that it is essential to begin the survey and reconstruction work as soon as possible. Without timely action, people will continue to face hardship and uncertainty. He called upon the administration to ensure that once the survey is completed, house construction starts immediately so that families can return to safe and stable living conditions.

Assuring the residents, he said that their problems will be addressed seriously and that all possible support will be provided. He also stressed that in this crisis, everyone must work together to help the affected communities recover and return to normal life as soon as possible.

MP Aujla’s initiative has raised hopes among the flood-affected villagers. People are expecting swift government action to rebuild their homes and restore their sense of security and stability after the devastation caused by the floods.Due to the severe floods in the Ravi River, a crack of about 500 meters developed in the Dhussi embankment, causing water to enter several villages near Ajnala and disrupting the lives of the residents. To fill this breach, Baba Satnam Singh Ji, the chief sevadar of the historic Gurdwara Guru Ka Bagh, started seva (voluntary service) work. Today, MP Gurjeet Aujla also visited the area, interacted with the villagers, and assured them that a survey would be conducted so that relief efforts and the construction of houses could be carried out as soon as possible.
