MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla arrived for surprise inspection at Sri Guru Nanak Dev Hospital today. During this, while he visited the hospital with Medical Superintendent Dr. Karmjit Singh, he also visited Bebe Nanaki Ward and met the patients and got to know their problems.
MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla met the patients in Bebe Nanaki Ward and listened to their problems and asked the Medical Superintendent to solve them as soon as possible. During this, on the complaint of repeated mobile theft by a patient, MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla also appealed to the people to keep only one attendant with them at a time so that there is no overcrowding in the hospital and such problems can be resolved.
MP Aujla also took action on the theft of two wheelers from the parking and said that the contractor of the parking should bear the brunt of it and all illegal parking should also be removed. He also told the Medical Superintendent to remove illegal parking from there.
MP Aujla was also seen concerned about the dirt and dump in the hospital during this time. He said that this is a hospital in Majha zone where lakhs of patients come for treatment, at least the Municipal Corporation should make complete arrangements for cleanliness in such a place. He said that the lack of cleaning staff is also a reason but at the same time the negligence of the Municipal Corporation is visible in the entire city. There are heaps of garbage everywhere but he wants to say that at least there should not be a garbage dump around the hospital. He said that there has been a lot of improvement since before but there are still many shortcomings, to get them removed, he keeps talking to the officials from time to time and keeps taking stock from them. To crack down on private agents roaming around in the hospital, MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla said that if he sees such an agent anywhere, he will get a notice issued against the person who sends him and he will not be spared at any cost.
He also told the patients that if anyone troubles them, they can contact him by coming to his office.
Giving information, MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla said that until any development does not happen at the ground level, until the people are not happy, it cannot be called development. The Punjab government only talks in the air but is not aware of what is happening to the people on the ground.
During this, MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla told the hospital administration in strict words that arrangements should be made so that the patients do not have to go to private hospitals for X-ray or any other investigation. If there is a shortage of any machine or equipment, write to him and he will arrange for it, but the patient should not leave the hospital without treatment.
