To take stock of the situation with the rising water level in Sutlej River, on Friday, Ranbir Singh Bhullar, MLA Ferozepur Urban, visited the villages – Bandala, KelKe Hithar and others. SDM Gagandeep Singh was also accompanied by the MLA.
He said that the government and the district administration are constantly monitoring the overall situation and are already fully prepared to face any untoward situation arising out of the current situation. He said that the government, administration and social service organizations are delivering food, water, beds, tarpaulins, mosquito nets and other facilities to the flood affected areas.
He said that the water level in Sutlej River in Ferozepur district is still below the danger mark and there is no danger to the ‘bandhs’ of Sutlej River in the district.
MLA also talked to the people of the area and listened to their problems and assured them of all possible help. He said that no flood victim will be allowed to be deprived of necessary goods.
He said that the MLAs and administrative officials of the district are continuously visiting different villages and delivering the relief materials to the people of the villages. He said that the area damaged by rains and flood in the district will be compensated soon. He appealed to the residents of the district to be aware of any kind of rumor regarding floods.
