MC Elections in Punjab postponed

Chandigarh, November 4
Municipal elections in Punjab have been postponed. The civil polls were scheduled to be held in the first fortnight of November.
The State Election Commission has sent a letter to the Deputy Commissioners of Patiala, Jalandhar, Ludhiana and Amritsar in this regard. As per reports, the electoral rolls are yet to be prepared.
As per the letter, it has been written that the voter lists for the municipal elections should be published by November 21.
It is expected that these elections can be held in December or January.
