Manipur violence: Kapurthala observes complete bandh

Kapurthala district observed complete bandh today as all commercial establishments remained closed in protest against the Manipur incidents . Buses did not ply on roads even Pepsu roadways buses also remained off the road as precautionary measure .The Bandh affected the normal life of the city .

No untoward incident was reported from any part of the Distrct claimed Senior superintendent of Police Rajpal Singh Sandhu.
Members of Christian and Scheduled caste communities staged dharna at Bhagat singh chowk and criticised the centre government and Manipur state government for its failure to tackle violence there .
