Malbros Liquor Factory Row: PPCB files case against Malbros Liquor Factory Zira under Water Act

Ferozepur, October 21

The Punjab Pollution Control Board has filed a case in the court against Malbros Liquor Factory under Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act. The farmers and people of the village where this factory is set up, to close down this factory for causing pollution to underground water, air and environment of the area.

Sometime back, the CM had announced the closure of the factory. There had been protests from various farmer outfits also and formal closure of the factory was yet to be decided.
