Major boost for farmers under Land Pooling Policy

In a major announcement under the Land Pooling Policy, the government has significantly increased financial benefits for farmers. Under the revised scheme, farmers will now receive ₹1 lakh annually as rent until they are allotted their final plots.

This is a five-fold increase from the ₹20,000 provided during the previous Congress-led government.

Additionally, farmers who agree to join the scheme will be given a one-time incentive cheque of ₹50,000.To further support them, the government has announced that the ₹1 lakh annual rent will be increased by 10% every year.
