63-year-old Manjit Singh was murdered on April 10 when he was returning home after buying groceries near Kochar Market Chowk on his scooter on Monday night.

As per the statement of deceased Manjit Singh’s wife Joginder Kaur, Manjit Singh closed his shop at approx 8.30 pm and was going towards the market on his Activa when he was closely followed by 2 unknown persons on Activa who first surrounded him.

The assailants reportedly asked him to hand over the bag of cash he was carrying. When he resisted, the duo stabbed him with an ice pick multiple times, leaving him with fatal wounds. He was rushed the hospital where the doctors declared him dead.
