Jasbir Singh Dimpa introduces Private Member’s Bill to curtail wasteful expenditure on marriages

New Delhi, August 6

Member Parliament from Khadoor Sahib Jasbir Singh Dimpa yesterday introduced a Private Member’s Bill in Lok Sabha suggesting curtailing of wasteful expenditure on marriages.

He himself tweeted, Introduced Private Members Bill “Prevention of Wasteful Expenditure on Special Occasions Bill”. HIGHLIGHTS Not more that 50 people in Barat Not more than 10 dishes to be served Not more than Rs 2500 in Shagan or Gifts Will help in improving sex ratio No more foeticide.”
