HC seeks status report from Punjab on Amritpal case

Chandigarh, March 21

Punjab and Haryana High Court directed Punjab police to submit a status report within four days of their ongoing operation to arrest Amriptal Singh. The hearing took place today on the habeas corpus petition filed by the legal advisor of Waris Punjab De.

The petitioner, Imaan Singh Khara, the legal advisor of Waris Punjab De, has alleged in his petition that Amritpal had been illegally detained by the police.
