Hand over ownership rights of PTC Gurbani channel to SGPC: Dal Khalsa to Sukhbir Badal

Strongly objecting to State government meddling into religious affairs of Sikhs, the Dal Khalsa has asked Sukhbir Singh Badal to hand over ownership rights of PTC (Gurbani) channel to the SGPC.

Dal Khalsa leaders H S Cheema and Kanwar Pal Singh said the SGPC has two options before it : to counter CM Mann’s evil design either Sukhbir Singh Badal should show magnanimity and donate PTC Gurbani channel (one of many channels) to Guru Panth or SGPC should launch it’s own channel.

“Sikhs have to stop the state from interfering into their religious affairs at all cost and added whatever CM Mann was doing would have serious consequences in future”, added both leaders.

They said Sukhbir Singh Badal has amassed huge wealth courtesy sole rights of live Gurbani telecast to PTC. Now was the right time for Sukhbir to pay back to Guru Panth.

Lambasting AAP govt they warned the state to hands off the Sikhs.

Dal Khalsa was critical of the working style of the Akali Dal. “Badals have made SGPC it’s subservient thus destroying its credibility and independence”.

The situation has reached to a point when a Patit Sikh (read Bhagwant Mann) have dared to play with the religious emotions of the Sikhs, they said.

Despite knowing well that, the State government has no power or authority to bring any amendment to the existing Sikh Gurdwara Act 1925, the Chief Minister has embarked on a collision path with Sikh Panth.
