Four killed 20 injured in accident in Kapurthala

four pilgrims including three women were killed while 2o others injured in a head on collision between Bolero pick up van and a car near village Fattudhinga on Kapurthala-Goindwal road on Sunday night said police .

Police identified the deceased as Amrik Singh driver of car resident of Sultanpur Lodhi , Amrik Kaur and Gurmeet Kaur both residents of village Narli near Tarntarn while the identity of fourth victim is yet to be established.

Police said that all the victims were coming from Anandpur sahib in a jeep after paying obeisance at a religious shrine when it collided head on with a car coming from Sultanpurlodhi side resulting in death of four persons and injuries to more than 20 persons .

The injured have been admitted to local civil hospital with mostly leg fractures and stated to be out of danger said civil hospital Senior Medical officer Sandip Dhawan .

The bodies of four deceased have been kept in civil hospital mortuary for postmortem .

Police has registered a case under section 174 Cr.P.C
