Ferozepur Rail Division holds 4th Inter-Departmental T-20 League Tournament

Ferozepur, November 5

The 4th Inter-Departmental T-20 League Tournament is being held in Ferozepur Rail Division from November 4, 2023, to January 7, 2024, among the different departments. This tournament was inaugurated by Chief Guest Mr. Sanjay Sahu, Divisional Railway Manager. at Railway Ground, Ferozepur.

The Railway spokesman said, that all 12 teams of different departments are participating in this event and each team will have the participation of both officers and subordinate employees. This will not only increase their awareness about fitness but also promote mutual harmony among them as well as working with team spirit. This tournament will also help employees and executives to understand each other better outside the office and work area.

The opening match was played between Electrical department officials and RPF jawans, in which the electrical department won the toss and elected to bowl first. RPF batting first, the department scored 108 runs in the stipulated 17 overs. In reply, the electrical department achieved the target in 12 overs. The man of the match was given to Pankaj Talwar who took 4 wickets for 23 runs in the first match which was enjoyed by all. There will be two groups of 12 teams in this tournament and the final match will be played on January 7.

Speaking on the occasion, Divisional Rail Manager Sanjay Sahu said that a healthy mind resides in a healthy body. Keeping oneself healthy while remaining stress-free in today’s hectic life is a challenging task, it becomes even more important for railway employees as they are directly or indirectly involved in the safety of passengers. Therefore, cricket tournaments have been organized to keep them fit and aware of their mental and physical health.
