Ferozepur police crack murder case, 3 held

Ferozepur, June 18

The Ferozepur Police working swiftly solved the murder mystery on the same day with the arrest of three persons.

Divulging with details, Bhupinder Singh, SSP Ferozepur said, a case was registered against Baldev Singh alias Bhupinder Singh alias Bhindaof Bhoroana along with 6 unidentified persons on the complaint of Krishna Rani for murder of her husband Jaswinder Singh while sleeping in the courtyard on January 11 at around 11 AM over a personal enmity when the illegal liquor of Bhupinder Singh was recovered and he suspected Jaswinder Singh in his arrest.

SSP further said, the police got success when a team headed by Randhir Kumar, SP (Investigation) and Palwinder Singh DSP Zira along with Jatinder Singh SHO Makhu when Baldev Sngh alias Bhupinder Sigh alias Bhinda was brought on production warrant from Central Jail Kapurthala for investigation, in the Excise Act case.

He disclosed during the enquiry that when he was produced in the court of Sultanpur Lodhi, three persons his cousit Gurjant Singh, his brother Pargat Singh and his friend Divanshu Tahur met him at Kapurthala where he informed them about Jaswinder Singh behind the reporting of illegal liquor. They planned and killed Jaswinder Singh and all the three were nominated in the case on June 16. While Baldev Singh, Pargat Singh and Dimanshu Tahkur were arrested on the same day, the arrest of Gurjant Singh is yet to be made.

SSP informed that the alleged accused will be produced in the court for police remand for investigation to identify the unidentified persons, who too will be arrested shortly.
