Ferozepur police busts looters’ gang, 3 held of 19-22 years age group

The Ferozepur police drive against the anti-social elements, busted a looters’ gang with the arrest of its three members in the age group of 19-22 years and trailing the gang since the in-put was received and recovered of cash, laptop and mobile.

Divulging with details, Bhupinder Singh, SSP said, the district police cops are working seriously to tighten the noose of anti-social elements and drug smugglers and its team are keeping an eye on the unscrupulous and suspicious nature persons for taking further action under the laws.

He said, a case was registered on unidentified persons on June 5 and the team headed by Randhir Kumar, SP (Investigation) of SurinderPal Bansa, DSP and Gurpreet Singh Incharge Narcotic Cell got a success when a tip-off was received. During patrolling near Baba Shershah Wali crossing, the loot-gang members identified as Deep (22), Sonu (19) and Kikkar (20) of Gwal Toli Ferozepur Cantt were arrested with recovery of Rs.65,000, one laptop of Dell company and one Mobile.

The accused will be produced before the court, to get their remand for further in-depth investigation to ascertain their involvement and solve other such loot cases with special focus on their criminal background.
