On this occasion, the Deputy Commissioner instructed the officials of the District Food and Supply Controller and others to make proper arrangements in all the grain markets and procurement centres of the district including the necessary arrangements such as cleanliness, shade, electricity supply, clean drinking water etc.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner appealed to the farmers and asked them to bring dry crops to the markets so that they do not face any problem during the purchase. He also appealed to the farmers not to set fire to the remains of wheat but to mix it in the ground and use it as fertilizer.
