Exercising ‘right to vote’ real tribute to Dr BR Ambedkar: DC Sakshi Sawhney

Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sawhney on Sunday said that the exercising right to vote and massive participation in the electoral process would be a real tribute to Dr BR Ambedkar.

Paying rich tributes to the Architect Of Indian Constitution Bharat Ratna Dr BR Ambedkar on his birth anniversary, Sawhney said that Dr Ambedkar was a great visionary, legendary statesman and social reformer and wanted a democratic India having social and economic equality. She said that these principles were associated with the right to vote. She said that we need to translate the philosophy and ideology of Dr Ambedkar into reality and it was our foremost duty to exercise the right to vote ethically and judiciously.

While exhorting all sections of society, especially the youth, to exercise their franchise on June 1, she said that the aspirations of Dr. Ambedkar could only become a reality if we all participate in the democratic process enthusiastically. She said that Baba Saheb was a farsighted leader who worked tirelessly for the well being of the weaker sections of society.

On the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is protesting nationwide against the dictatorship of the Bharatiya Janata Party government. AAP Punjab leaders gathered at Corporation Chawnk in Jalandhar to protest against the Modi government and their dictatorial attitude.

Speaking on the occasion, AAP’s Hoshiarpur candidate Dr Raj Kumar Chabbewal said that only we are taking forward the thinking of Dr B R Ambedkar and working for the betterment of the common people. In high inflation time, we are providing free health and education facilities to the people and trying to provide them as much relief from inflation as possible. When the BJP’s anti-people policies were increasing the unemployment rate on every state, the Punjab government gave 43,000 government jobs to our youth. Free electricity in Punjab is also a very big achievement of the Mann government.

Balkar Singh said that today, our nation is facing the dictatorship of the Bharatiya Janata Party and they are trying to finish the constitution. We are gathered here to inspire people to take part in ‘Save the constitution, remove the dictatorship’. This dictatorial government has put our national convenor Arvind Kejriwal in jail. Arvind Kejariwal was following the footsteps of Baba Saheb Ambedkar, he was uplifting the lives of the common people. His aim is free and best education and health care. These people cannot let that happen. Because educated people will use their right to vote properly, those people won’t vote for the BJP who spread hate. Arvind Kejriwal put the photos of Shaheed-e-azam Bhagat Singh and Dr B R Ambedkar in the government offices. The Aam Aadmi Party is the party of the common people.

Cabinet Minister Lalchand Kataruchakk paid tribute to the father of the constitution Dr B R Ambedkar on his Birth Anniversary at the DC office Pathankot. He said that only the Aam Aadmi Party government is working to uplift the lives of every section of the society.

AAP Punjab general secretary Jagroop Singh Sekhwan said that the Aam Aadmi Party is fighting to save the constitution. Baba Saheb Ambedkar gave us the right to vote and by using our right we will eliminate the dictatorial BJP government from the centre. The cabinet minister and Patiala LS candidate paid homage to Dr B R Ambedkar in Patiala on Sunday.
