Dengue case count reaches 9 in Jalandhar

The number of dengue cases since May has risen to nine after one more case was reported here today.

While relatively lesser number of cases were reported across June and July, in August, dengue has seen a surge. In August, 5 cases have been reported so far. In comparison, only four cases were reported across three months of May, June and July.

Meanwhile, 438 dengue larvae have been found at various places in Jalandhar. As many as 2,28,758 houses have been surveyed by health teams.

Areas like Bhargo Camp, Abadpura, Santokhpura, Basti Bawa Khel, Mangu Basti and Jalandhar Cantt are the hotspots where breeding of larvae is being checked.
