Members of the African delegation from Mali namely Mamadou Lamine Haidara Vice President of CNPM, Mohamed Alassane Kanoute, Maccaloo, Mamadou Coulibaly, and Kabirou Kolo today visited the Museum on rural life of Punjab in Punjab Agricultural University campus and had an informative meeting with Vice Chancellor PAU Dr. Satbir Singh Gosal and the research experts of PAU regarding prospects to have Wheat cultivation in Mali.
The visit of the African Delegation from Mali to PAU was coordinated by eminent Punjab based Nature Artist & Heritage Promoter Harpreet Sandhu, who briefed the Mali delegates about the rich heritage and culture of Punjab State which has been beautifully depicted in the Museum on rural life of Punjab.
The African delegation after visiting the Museum was touched by the beautiful depiction at the museum and described the museum as a significant landmark of handicrafts, traditional musical instruments, clothes belonging to rural Punjab, as well as, mannequins enacting scenes from daily life, an unparallel feat, displaying the Punjabi Culture to its best which reminded them of their ancient Mali architecture, archaeology and social history.
All the African delegates from Mali were presented with the Pictorial brochure depicting the significance of the PAU Museum being a Punjab Tourism site.
