DBU Professor Ajaypal Honored at Sparsh Himalaya Festival-2025 in Dehradun
Mandi Gobindgarh,19 Nov: Dr. Ajaypal Shekhawat, representing the Department of Hindi at Desh Bhagat University, Punjab, was honored as a guest speaker at the prestigious Sparsh Himalaya Mahotsav 2025, hosted in India’s first “Writer’s Village” in Dehradun. The village was conceptualized and established by the visionary of the National Education Policy 2020, former Union Education Minister, former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, and former Cabinet Minister of undivided Uttar Pradesh, Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’.
Dr.Shekhawat received the distinguished opportunity to present his thoughts on “Nishank’s Literature, Creativity, and Sensitivity” before an international audience. The festival witnessed participation from Hindi scholars, writers, and cultural dignitaries representing more than sixty countries.
The event also became a memorable occasion for meeting eminent personalities, including Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ himself, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Padma Shri Dr. Harmohinder Singh Bedi, Pujya Chidanand Muni Ji Maharaj of Parmarth Niketan, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju, UK-based author Tejendra Sharma, Dr. Rama Poornima Ajay Sharma from Japan, Anoop Bhargav from the USA, Ritu Sharma Nannan Pandey from the Netherlands, Sharad Alok from Norway, Dr. Shipra Shilpi Saxena (Germany, online), Prof. Navin Chandra Lohani, Vice-Chancellor of Uttarakhand Open University, Deputy Director of the Ministry of Home Affairs Raghuveer Sharma, Prof. Karunashankar Upadhyay, Head of Hindi Department, Mumbai University and several other distinguished academics, authors, and cultural figures from across India and abroad.
