DBU Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh and President Dr. Sandeep Singh honored by Union Cabinet Minister for exemplary contribution to education

Desh Bhagat University (DBU), Mandi Gobindgarh (Punjab), in collaboration with the Government of Haryana, successfully organized the 75th Mega Job Fair at Dr. Mangal Sen Auditorium, Karnal.
The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Manohar Lal Khattar, Union Minister for Power, Housing and Urban Affairs, who attended as the Chief Guest. He lauded the initiative, emphasizing its significance in creating meaningful employment opportunities for the youth and in fostering a stronger industry-academia partnership.

Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor, and Dr. Sandeep Singh, President of Desh Bhagat University, were present as Guests of Honour. Both reiterated the University’s commitment to empowering students and job seekers by providing impactful, career-oriented platforms. During the ceremony, the Union Minister honored Dr. Zora Singh and Dr. Sandeep Singh for their notable contributions to the field of education.
On the occasion, Dr. Zora Singh shared that this was the first job fair organized in Haryana with the support of the state government, following 74 successful job fairs previously held across Punjab, Jammu & Kashmir, and Himachal Pradesh. He emphasized DBU’s mission to transform youth into job creators rather than job seekers. He further mentioned that youth from four districts participated in the job fair and announced plans to organize similar events in other districts of Haryana in the near future.

Dr. Prabhleen Singh, Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to the Chief Minister Haryana, addressed the participants and highlighted that although private sector salaries may be modest initially, they tend to grow significantly over time with hard work and dedication. He congratulated the young job seekers and wished them success in their careers. Dr. Prabhleen also extended heartfelt thanks to Union Minister Sh. Manohar Lal Khattar for supporting this impactful initiative.

According to Pooja Kathuria, coordinator of the DBU Job Fair, the event witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 50 reputed companies and attracted a massive turnout of 4,108 job aspirants, both online and offline.

In his concluding remarks, Dr. Sandeep Singh, President of Desh Bhagat University, expressed his sincere gratitude to Union Cabinet Minister Sh. Manohar Lal Khattar, the Government of Haryana, the participating companies, and all the job aspirants for making the event a resounding success.
