DBA Ferozepur to observe ‘No Work Day’ on July 28 in brutal attack on Bar member

The District Bar Association, Ferozepur will observe ‘No Work Day’ on July 28, in protest of brutal attack, in broad day light in the heart of the town, on member of the Bar, Sham Sunder Monga Advocate by Rajneesh Shama along with his associates.

Condemning the incident, Gursaab Singh Mall, President, Rejesh Kumar Mehta, Vice President, Sahil Raheja Secretary said, the alleged accused had damaged the car and snatched the valuable belongings and money from him. He said, earlier also we had observed ‘No Work Day’ on July 25 in protest of the said incident.

Mal President said, it is very unfortunate that till date no proper FIR as per the statement of complainant has been registered against the accused persons due to political pressure andnthey are fleeing freely and openly threatening the injured for dire consequences. Now, showing solidarity with the member of our legal fraternity, we have decided to observe ‘No Work Day’ on July 28 besides giving a state level call to abstain from work on this day. The DBA has further made it clear to all the Bar members that a fine of Rs.5,000 shall be imposed if any advocate appears in the court in violation of the resolution of the DBA Ferozepur.
