Cop killed another injured in a road accident near Bholath area in Kapurthala

one police officer was killed while constable received minor injuries in a road accident near village Ramgarh falling under Bholath police station on Tuesday night .
Bholath Deputy Superintendent of police Bharat Bhushan when contacted confirmed the accident and death of police officer .
Police identified the deceased as Surjit Singh (57) working as additional SHO at police station Bholath while constable identified as Surinder Singh received minor injuries.
Police said both the victims were going to Kapurthala after their duty in a car on Tuesday night when their car lost its control and collided with a road side tree while negotiating a curve resulting in the death of Surjit Singh who was driving the car while the constable who was also accompanying received minor injuries.
Police placed the body in a mortuary and registered a case under section 174 CR.P.C .
