CM Mann invites employees union to hold talks over demands, employee’s pen-down strike entered its 31st day

Ferozepur, December 9

With the majority of the state government employees unions unwilling to budge from their stand.

The pen down strike of Punjab government employees under the banner of Punjab State Ministerial Services Union (PSMSU) to register their protest over the long pending demands entered 31st day today.

Many employees surrounded the office of Rajnish Dahiya MLA, followed by a motorcycle rally in the city. The unions have declared they will remain firm until their demand to reintroduce the old pension scheme is met and other demands are accepted.

Manohar Lal, District President, however, said that CM has invited the Employees Union leaders to hold talks over demands.

Addressing the rally, Manohar Lal, District President said, the rally on December 9 will be historic at Chandigarh if the demands are not accepted and planned to gehrao the CM’s residence.

He made it clear that for this non-cooperative attitude of the government, there will be consequences in the upcoming Lok Sabha 2024 elections. The restoration of the old pension scheme is the major demand among various other demands.

He further said that CM has invited the Union leaders and we hope for positive results.
