CM felicitates GNDU for lifting MAKA for 25th time

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Tuesday congratulated the Guru Nanak Dev University for clinching the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad (MAKA) trophy for overall best performance at inter-university, national and international competitions.

In his congratulatory message, the Chief Minister said that the University, its students and teachers had made Punjab proud by lifting this trophy for record 25th time. Reiterating his government’s commitment to promote sports by upgrading the existing infrastructure to international standards and adding new ones to enable budding players from the state to compete effectively in national and international arena. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that due to strenuous efforts of state government, players from Punjab had bagged a record medals in the recently concluded Asian games.
