Capt Amarinder congratulates PM Modi for successful US visit

Chandigarh, June 24

Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader and former Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh today congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his successful visit to the United States.

In a statement, Capt Amarinder said, Prime Minister Modi had provided new direction and leadership to Indian diplomacy which was lacking so far.

“Whether it is maintaining strategic and diplomatic independence or maintaining strong and positive relationships with friendly nations, PM Modi has drawn a perfect balance”, Capt Amarinder said, while adding, this has happened for the first time in India’s diplomatic history.

The former two-time Punjab Chief Minister pointed out, it was a rare distinction for any international leader to address the US parliament twice and PM Modi was just one among very few. He said this is a matter of great pride and honor for every Indian.

He said, thanks to PM Modi’s deft handling of international affairs, the world has not only started recognizing but also acknowledging the power and importance of India in international affairs.

“The time for the idea of India has come and thanks to PM Modi who made it possible to happen”, Capt Amarinder remarked.
