Canada: 8 Punjabis arrested with firearm related offences

Region of Peel – The 22 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau officers have charged eight individuals with firearm-related offences.

On Monday, October 2, 2023, at 10:25 p.m., officers attended a residence in the area of Donald Stewart Road and Brisdale Drive in Brampton for a report of shots fired. With the assistance of the Tactical Unit, eight individuals were extracted from the residence and arrested.

No one suffered any injuries.

On Tuesday, October 3, 2023, a Criminal Code Search Warrant was executed at the residence and a 9mm Beretta firearm was seized.

Rajanpreet Singh, a 21-year-old man from Brampton has been charged with the following offences:

Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm

Careless Storage of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition

Jagdeep Singh, a 22-year-old man from Brampton has been charged with the following offences:

Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm

Ekamjot Randhawa, a 19-year-old man from Brampton has been charged with the following offences:

Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm

Manjinder Singh, a 26-year-old man from Brampton has been charged with the following offences:

Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm

Harpreet Singh, a 23-year-old man from Brampton has been charged with the following offences:

Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm

Ripanjot Singh, a 22-year-old man from Brampton has been charged with the following offences:

Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm

Japandeep Singh, a 22-year-old man from Brampton has been charged with the following offences:

Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm

Lovepreet Singh, a 26-year-old man from Brampton has been charged with the following offences:

Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm

They were all held for a bail hearing and attended the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
