Bhagwant Mann Governement will not let Punjab youth to fall prey to drugs, says MLA Kuljit Singh Randhawa

MLA Derabassi Kuljit Singh Randhawa reiterated that the Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann led Punjab Government would not let the Punjab youth to fall prey to drugs. Announcing cash reward for providing information of big fishes in his constituency, he assured that he would ensure exemplary action against the accused misleading our youth and tarnishing their future by indulging in drug trafficking.

Addressing an awareness camp organised by the local administration led by SDM Derabassi, Himanshu Gupta, on International Day against drug abuse and illicit trafficking at Trivedi Camp, the MLA Derabassi said that the state government has an ambition for the youth of the Punjab by transforming the state into Rangla Punjab and we would not allow anyone indulged in the heinous crime of ruing our youth.

He directed the local SHO to tighten the noose against the anti-social elements who promote drug peddling in the area. The Derabassi MLA also requested the SMO Dr Dharminder and Psychiatrist Puja Garg to counsel and de-addict the victims of drugs at nearby OOAT centers of Banur and Antala to root out the menace of drugs in the area.

SDM Derabassi, Himanshu Gupta assured the MLA of expediting the action against the drug peddlers as well as to save the youth from the clutches of the drugs. He said that the deputy commissioner Ashika Jain and SSP Sandeep Garg already directed the officials to take strict action against the peddlers to make the area free of drugs.

He added that the de-addicted youth would be provided Skill Training under Punjab Skill Development Mission to rehabilitate them.
