Bhagwant Mann announces Ex-gratia grant of Rs. 1 crore for family of Punjab Police constable who sacrificed his life on duty in Phagwara
Chandigarh, January 9
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has announced an ex gratia grant of Rs. 1 crore for family of Constable Kuldeep Singh Bajwa who sacrificed his life when he was shot at by dacoits he was chasing them who had looted a car in Phagwara.
In a tweet CM said, “Salute to martyr Constable Kuldeep Singh Bajwa Belt no. 886/KPT who has made the sacrifice in line of duty. Punjab Government will make Ex Gratia grant of Rs 1 crores. Another Rs 1 crore insurance payment will be made by HDFC Bank.We stand with our martyrs and their families”.
