Questioning the credibility of AAP government in Punjab and state police, BJP Punjab President Sunil Jakhar on Tuesday demanded regisitration of case against Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains in the suicide case of Assistant Professor Balwiinder Kaur.

Sunil Jakhar on Tuesday visited Civil Hospital, Rupnagar in connection with the suicide of Assistant Professor Balwiinder Kaur. He was here today to join the sit-in organized by the family and members of the front near the mortuary room of civil hospital Rupnagar.

Addressing the dharna, Sunil Jakhar demanded registration of case against Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains.

“Balwinder Kaur has clearly mentioned the name of the Minister in her suicide note, yet the matter is being complicated by the police directly. Clearly, the police are avoiding registering a case against the Minister,” he said.
