Mohali, March 5
Tight security arrangements have been put in place at Chandigarh-Mohali borders and key entry points of Mohali in view of the farmers’ call for the “Chandigarh March” today.
Police teams are thoroughly checking vehicles to prevent farmers’ entry into the city. Barricades have been set up at various locations, with additional police personnel deployed to maintain law and order.
The heightened security comes as farmers’ unions announced their march towards Chandigarh to press for their demands, including implementing a legal guarantee for minimum support price (MSP).
