Ludhiana, April 7
A wave of innovation from Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) made a significant impact at Startup Mahakumbh 2025, held from April 3-5 at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan.
A cohort of 10 innovative startups supported by the Punjab Agri Business Incubator (PABI) participated in the event, showcasing their transformative solutions in food, biotech, agritech, sustainability, and consumer products.
Their participation not only garnered attention but also appreciation from national and international visitors, investors, and fellow entrepreneurs.
The startups representing PABI included Agsure Innovations Pvt Ltd – AI-powered grain quality analyzer; Wani Agro Tools Pvt Ltd – Advanced farming tools from J&K; Kanav Biosyze – Sustainable biotechnological solutions; Sahifab India Pvt Ltd – Sustainable textiles made from hemp and agro-waste; Fuma Labs Pvt Ltd – Converting crop waste to packaging material; Mapik Foods Pvt Ltd – Super food-based healthy snacks; Repeat Gud Pvt Ltd – Shark Tank-approved guilt-free condiments; Sharaya Foods Pvt Ltd – Wholesome makhana-based food innovations; Banc Biopolymers Pvt Ltd – Agri-waste to bioplastics startup; and Ruhvenile Biochemicals – Winner of Startup Maharathi Challenge 2025.
The star of the event was Ruhvenile Biochemicals, which clinched the Startup Maharathi Challenge 2025 title, bringing immense pride to the PABI ecosystem.
Dr Satbir Singh Gosal, Vice-Chancellor, PAU, while congrtualting the startups and PABI team, said, “It is heartening to see our startups thriving at national platforms. Their performance at Startup Mahakumbh reaffirms our commitment to promoting grassroots innovations from Punjab.”
