Haryana Health Minister Kumari Arti Singh Rao announced that the Accident and Trauma Care Services at the Al-Afia District Civil Hospital in Mandikhera village, Nuh district, will be significantly upgraded. Additionally, the hospital’s capacity will be doubled from 100 to 200 beds, with official approval granted.
Responding to a question during the ongoing Budget Session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha, Minister Rao highlighted the hospital’s expansion as a key step in strengthening healthcare infrastructure in Nuh district, which serves a population of over 15.48 lakh people.
Key Highlights of the Hospital Upgrade:
Hospital Expansion: Al-Afia Civil Hospital, operational since 2005 on 16 acres and 8 marla of land, will be upgraded to a 200-bed facility by July 2024.
Enhanced Trauma & Emergency Care: The Accident and Trauma Care Services will receive substantial improvements to handle critical cases more efficiently.
Healthcare Infrastructure in Nuh: The district currently has 135 health facilities, including:
1 District Civil Hospital
5 Community Health Centers (CHCs)
17 Primary Health Centers (PHCs)
111 Sub-Health Centers (SHCs)
1 Medical College
Minister Rao reaffirmed the Haryana government’s commitment to enhancing healthcare access in rural and urban areas, ensuring better medical facilities for the people of Nuh district.
